Goes without saying that the more ambitious old tech designs will need to be upgraded with TE once this sea change comes to pass...

 

I'm also guessing that courses with added 3D grass will be incompatible with the older version of JNPG, so once the designers switch (which they undoubtedly will) then new courses will dry up for the original game, unless two versions of a course are released, as with the reflective water course by PP.

This is precisely the reason why I, for one, would like a little information regarding how TE will effect existing and future designs.

thanks...
as you see in my screenies, I'm working on some crazy stuff with bunkers so it will be a challenge to get the grass on my imported .fbx grass part in front of the bunkers. its hard to explain but i will need to figure something out.  The TEs may actually  camoflage some of the underlying seams
the rough is the underlying terrain so i will  need to debug  and make spline texture transparent if using the TE...hopefully the grass dosent turn transparent if undelying texture is

Nope, not as far as I know.

Still a WIP.

3D grasses are just part of the update and we have no ETA for anything playable at the moment.
