Just realized I hadn't popped in here much
My Uncle and I have officially moved on to EA 2023 just recently.
He's really getting up there in age/capabilities so it's been a challenge to adapt to something new
Ultimately, the game play really isn't the same (or as good in my view) as PG, however the graphics are spectacular and he's LOVING that aspect of things.
I figured -- what the hell -- he's nearly 87, let's give one more new golf game a try, regardless of what I think of the gameplay.
Our evening rounds are about socialization mainly anyhow, and after over 30 years of doing this, we are finally on some graphics that are just breathtaking at times.
(and honestly, even EA PGA isn't using the most capable of possible graphics engines these days -- just imagine what might still come!)
I actually think it has reinvigorated things to be playing a new game again for the first time since we were vacillating between TGC2 and PG
Anyhow - as forums and users go, we all fade away
Before I leave though, I really wanted to thank everyone here for all the great banter over the years and...
THANK YOU COURSE DESIGNERS!
We all got a bit short changed and blindsided by the Trackman sale and PG really never grew into what it could have been, very sadly.
That said, PG remains an all timer, but very niche, software title -- and it's really all and only due to the amazing third party course design work!
Cheers all - I'll see you at the 19th hole!
