The Sedgefield CC Ross course has been released.  Host of the Wyndham Championship, it's the only Donald Ross course with a regular stop on the PGA tour.

Played a few holes and it is looking like a new favorite. Nice grasses and the lighting seems more vibrant than most courses.

Looks stunning, but why is it set at sea level? Greensboro is about 900 ft. above sea level. If you are going to charge people for courses at least make them right. Just like the shrubbery at Copperhead...sheesh!

It's an easy fix.  But the course needs to be recompiled I believe.

Great course, and no flashing or flickering on the buildings.

I haven't bought or played the course yet, but I agree .... seems a bit sloppy / rushed to skip over this detail, especially for a licensed course.

So they get hammered for taking too long, and hammered for missing things...

Open up the course's .description file and change geoZ to 275 if you're that desperate.

Shouldn't have to. And I bet some buyers wouldn't know how.

Other buyers aren't crying about it, you are. It means 1% difference in distance at this elevation - the day's temperature has more of an effect.

By all means, point out the issue, they'll fix it, but these entitled attitudes are making this forum hard to read.

Nobody's crying except you and it does make a difference in club selection, so stfu about things you are obviously ignorant about.

Is 900 ft going to impact distance? my WiP is much higher and although there is increased ball flight, it's not major.  I'm thinking that 900 ft may have zero impact to ball flight.

1 yard can make a difference in club selection. Pro tip: use a different club.

So what difference in distance do you think 900 ft of elevation leads to?

Here's what some other ignorant souls say:

 Titleist: 0.00116%/ft x 900 ft = 1.04%
Flightscope: 209.8 yards carry for the typical pro 4 iron at sea level, 212 at @ 900 ft = 1.04% increase. PW: 130.8 vs 132.1 = 0.99% increase.

As you must have seen substantially different in game, please show some conclusive test results and report as a bug.

I definitely would not have known ow to do this.. and agree to some extent, but then again, wouldn't know the difference either way as I am not as nutty about "realism" and such things in a video golf game.

A bit of a shame this is another course already out there.  I keep getting close to buying the PP versions of courses already released with some loose change in the Steam wallet, but I end up holding out for something totally new.

A small comparison of the free version by cintigolfer and the DLC from PP:

From my experience the PP DLC version runs smoother even though there seem to be a lot more trees etc.

The first image is the DLC version

yea i was on a DLC boycott till they brought out the cup fix

so what the heck. i myself would say this is the best PP course i have seen yet.

as for reproduction's i dont quite understand that either, you would think the Devs would ask for some of the famous

not to be worked till they tried to obtain a license to maximize the profit to reinvest in this project and move this thing along faster.

I thought the clubhouse work was amazing.  And then I found out the guy on the PP team that built that, did it in a day!

PP wouldn't expect people to do this, it was a simple oversight that they will likely fix next release. I just offered an interim solution (albeit a placebo one).
