How about a course or really cool Par 3 somewhere along the Grand Canyon?
Shall we build some fantasy into this?

I'm thinking I'd like to do some fantasy design myself, if that's okay. I just need the tools.

I've always thought the Grand Canyon had somewhat of a premiere setup for a golf course, especially a par 3 course. It will definitely be challenging and rewarding once we get our hands on the software.

I once saw a postcard of the Grand Canyon with a golf course built along it edge. I was naive enough to think it was real until my brother pointed out they would never alow such a thing lol. It looked so amazing

I used to have a couple of those calendars, with the ridiculous golf holes painted on to the side of mountains, cliffs, volcanoes, sinkholes, icebergs and other ridiculous places. I always liked how they'd draw a ladder or a bridge of dubious safety and there'd be a guy with a pull cart trying to negotiate it.

One day, when I learn a lot more (I'm still watching an APCD instruction video!) I hope to create a panorama of the ocean, just the ocean. I keep visioning a golf course in the middle of sea: fairway, rough, sea . I'll need a 3D image of a desaltination plant too, to make it look realistic :/

Ooooh. I bet those waterfalls would look mighty fine in Perfect Golf after some tinkering with Course Forge, lol.

My thoughts exactly. I have always wanted to see this course "in motion". I bought the game Infamous 18, which I guess was built of a Links engine, but it had moving water and 3d trees and bushes similar to the older TW games. So hopefully, soon. Would really like to import the elevations I have for Hazeltine and just start over and make that course right.

I believe what Wayne posted is a screenshot of Access Software's 'Leaderboard Golf' from the Commodore 64. The game that was the forerunner for the Links golf series.

Yep, Leaderboard it is.
I still remember playing this game and thinking I will never play another game in my life, hahahaha. How things change.

I think the first PC golf game I played was Mean18. What I really enjoyed was how you could design your own courses and save them on 5 1/4" floppy. I think I still got a copy around somewhere.

Man can't even remember the name of my first golf game. It was back around 90-91 and came with 1 course, Firestone. I remember the square ball that rolled something like an octagon lol.

It's not released yet so there are no instructions anywhere. Mike J's demo video is as close at it gets.
