Hello,
Are we allowed to name our real golf course the same name as the original?
Exemple: Oakmont Country Club
Thank you

Depends on how litigious the IP owners are. You could try then change the name if there is a "letter".

Have thought briefly about changing Pebble actually. Do I have anything to worry about?
I believe there are reasons why someone like me ended up doing it instead of PP.

Let's just say there are reasons why I'm doing it instead of PP.
How about "Pacific Beach"?

I made tons of real course for TW and have never had a problem...Even Augusta

Links 2003 community never had a problem with their versions of Pebble Beach as far as I'm aware, including Chuck's masterpiece.
You could make it really hard to play and then call it Pebble Bitch.

Not that I'm aware of. Please keep it as Pebble Beach.

Name it ST. Oakmont Country Club - ST. meaning Similar To.
Little known fact when King Arthur was trying to make a golf course and he ran into some conflict. King Arthur: There's a peace only to be found on the other side of war. If that war should come I will fight it! Other important fact. Read the Book of John in the Holy Bible.

I kind of meant it as a joke but legally it changes the name but still leaves the name so everyone knows what it is .... But then there is Judy's Hamburgers they changed the name but were a copy of Wendy's they got sued - but you will not be taking money from Oakmont Country Club whereas Judy's Hamburgers potentially was taking money from Wendy's you actually will be in a sense advertising for Oakmont so they should sort of be PAYING YOU or at least happy that you are "promoting" their course. But ST may be a good idea for any course that is made for an existing course

Unless I have reason to do so otherwise, I shall not change it.
