Although your build didn't crash this is likely the culprit:

If you open your project from the File menu, does this bring Course Forge back, as I would think it should be an asset package within your saved project.

I downloaded some assets from the Unity Asset Store namely plants. But there was some scripting involved and it wiped out my CF tab. I had to uninstall Unity and reinstall CF. At least the only work I lost were some test courses. I had not started my first original course yet. Whew.

Usually, if you just delete those scripts, all will come back to normal. Almost any project can be saved without having to wipe things out.

Ok, adding onto, once you delete those scripts,  CF will turn up again automatically. What happens is assets downloaded can be either incompatible with Unity 5.23f, or clashing with something else already in your project, and it stops all scripts running (which CF is). If you wish to know what to delete, just go to reimport the same assets taking note of what it's adding (then cancel).
