Just a little clarification as I went to the link for version 5.3.1  There are 6 specific downloads beginning with the Unity Installer and a Example Project.  I have a 64 bit machine so should I be downloading all of these except the Unity Editor 32 Bit?  Thanks.

Nah, the US will find a way to lose it. We always do. Already getting creamed in the afternoon matches.

No you just need the main unity download for your OS not any of the shader packs etc.

Any idea yet Mike if a project created in 5.2.3 will work OK with the forthcoming CF release?

Mike, will anything be different for those of us in the beta? Should we start moving over to 5.2.3?

I don't think there is an issue with the Rio course being too easy in real life, though Gil Hanse used width for strategic value and ground contours to lead to challenging short game shots. I don't think the game quite has the shot making challenge of real golf dialed in yet, especially with putting and chipping.

I find many of the popular fictional courses to be visually over the top and the golf tricked up to make them challenging in the game, nothing I'd want to play in real life. I think a little restraint goes a long way.

Hi Mathew, post this over in the beta forum and I'll do my best to answer it there. I don't want to confuse people who will be using CF for the first time as your path into it from private beta will be different.

We're doing some testing with a new physics build at the moment which replicates the short game more accurately. Chip and runs are more often a better option and the lob onto a downslope doesn't stop unrealistically quickly as it does now. In testing I short sided myself a few times and had a headache to get the ball close. It's very much a work in progress though.

The guys in the Sky Sports studio are having a lot of fun on Perfect Golf this morning, or at least I assume that's what it is.

Looks a lot like it!

Andrew, Development Team and fellow consumers,

I cannot express how important the golfer animations are to a lot of people sitting on the fence.

I wonder about this too.  Are there going to be various body shapes and swing speeds represented?  Perhaps a way to use captured animations of the pros based on video and use them?  Anyone know roughly what the plan is?

They have contracted out Motion capture for the animations, so it's in the works.
