It's a part of the Unity Standard Assets pack I believe. And those screens look tasty! Droool!

Just tried it in my unity project replica of my local course, water pro daytime and upped the texture number from 256 to 1024, and you do get accurate reflective water
It did seem to hamper performance somewhat though, so will need a bit of tweaking but is indeed very easily possible.
Yeah, I tried the reflective on Danville Acres and went from 3 million Tries to over 5 million. Definitely a show stopper there, but on a course with a few trees, I'm sure it's doable. And then there's the performance improvements to Unity 5.4. 2017 is gonna have some eye candy I'm sure.

Yeah definitely. When i knocked mine up was just using basic water, but using a mix of refractive from the shallow streams and reflective for the large bodies brought the water to life. As you say though, mine is 3.6 tris currently, and it pushed it up to 6.9!!

I've got them too. Never knew these were in there. Good to remember when I do course upgrades.

I think that you can get away with it if there's just one body of water on the course... I've tried with two and it completely kills the framerate. At the moment it seem to be ok, but I may run into issues further down the line as I add further trees. We shall see!!

I just tried replacing all my ponds on a course with it..... epic fail. But I had six of them, so, yeah. I knew it was bad when I was getting a jerky meter on Low settings and I wasn't even playing a hole with any water on it!
I guess it's nice to know it is there just in case I buy a real computer one day, lol.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I now have 18 holes laid out for The Old Warden, and I'm working on final elevations, 3d stuff etc... I may put it out to beta as is so I can get an idea of how it performs on other machines.
Anyway here's a couple more pics:
This is the green complex at the par 3, eighth:

And finally, looking at the green across the tall grass at the par 4, thirteenth:

I care and like it a lot, total different feel as to other courses we've seen. Like the trees and patchy grass planting.

Looking great!
Are we going to get a nice vintage car parked by the clubhouse, or a biplane fly-by?

Yeah, sorry I think I may have been misinterpreted (my bad) When I said 'not sure that anyone cares' I was inferring that with all the petty squabbles going on at the moment, I'm not sure that people care for the actual facets of the game at the moment...
I really appreciate all the comments though guys. Hopefully I'll have something to test in beta 'soon'

Not hard when I live in Bedford and you are from Bedfordshire too!
Ever thought of doing one of the Woburn courses? I was thinking of doing the Dukes a while back, but I have no knowledge of either obtaining or importing Lidar data. My mate has played there a couple of times, and I was going to tag along with my camcorder when he next played there. I did do a fictional Links 2003 course using a mirror layout of one of the Woburn courses, though I can't remember which with my shocking memory problems. I know it wasn't The Dukes though. I can't remember which one of my courses it was either. In fact I can't remember the names of some of my own courses, and it was only a few years ago that I made them! If I ever wanted to design Links 2003 courses again I would have to watch my own tutorials to find out how to!!!! Course Forge is also going to be a challenge if I ever get back to it.

I'm working on the greens now. My advice would be don't get caught on the wrong side of the hole!! The stimp on this one is 14...
