So, Wells' is in the bag...  Time to start on something new:

It's my first real course rendition.  It's still at a very early stage...

Anyone care to guess which course it is?

Cant wait for this one, I made it for JN GBC some ten or more years ago and the course has always fascinated me for some reason.

Ok ... Hope we are not gooing to "off topic" but I gonna drop it after this ... Seems I was a little bit off track when i said Sunningdale , but it was mentioned in the book .... I found a qoute:

"Bond wearily thrust his driver back into his bag. 'Well, all right then.' He thought of a final way of putting Goldfinger off. He said roughly, 'But I warn you I like playing for money. I can't be bothered to knock a ball round just for the fun of it.' Bond felt pleased with the character he was building up for himself.

Was there a glint of triumph, quickly concealed, in Goldfinger's pale eyes? He said indifferently, 'That suits me. Anything you like. Off handicap, of course. I think you said you're nine.'

'Yes.'

Goldfinger said carefully, 'Where, may I ask?'

'Huntercombe.' Bond was also nine at Sunningdale. Huntercombe was an easier course. Nine at Huntercombe wouldn't frighten Goldfinger.

'And I also am nine. Here. Up on the board. So it's a level game. Right?'

Bond shrugged. 'You'll be too good for me.'"

Must be that I got it from ..... now .... Enough of this :)

So, I'm sad to say that I had to ditch Sunningdale due to a big hole in the elevation data that I thought I could work around by effectively couldn't.  After a long period of stagnation (mainly due to motivational issues) I have started a new project within the past week provisionally titled 'The Old Warden' .

I'm currently seven holes in, and hopefully my interest levels will allow me to finish it up...

Here are a couple of early shots.  Bear in mind that these are not the finished article and bunkers, elevations, etc are not 100% finished and there are vast unfinished areas where the remaining holes will go.

Looks good, Gary. Hope you can complete it. Accurate reflections, too. How'd you do that?

There's an option on the water properties called texture size. I upped it to 1024

How much does it affect frame rate, if you know?
