Work is still going on with this one...  I'm currently creating the 3d assets.

Should be ready for a final beta soon

Where do people get LIDAR data? I have a friend that works for a computer survey crew that basically looks at land all day for unspecified by me projects. Is this guy getting the same data? Would it be possible that he could scan some courses at work and send me the info to be loaded into CF when it gets relased "soon"? There is one course that I would like to do that I doubt anyone else will work on. It will probbaly take me a year or more to make it presentable, which is why I don't even bother signing up for the beta lol.

Love the color scheme being used here.  I think I'm always a fan of any course that uses some of that tall grass because it gives the course a more realistic feel.  Just imagine what 3D rough will do to this game when they get it implemented.  I hope I'm not over estimating the impact that this will have visually but I truly believe it will propel this game light years forward in the visuals department.  Couple that with the new animations that they are working on and we're getting into drool-worthy territory I think.

You need one!!  I've been loving mine.  It's nice to have a GPU that I can use without having to constantly tweak settings!

No LIDAR data required for this course as it's fictional :)

I did dabble with Sunningdale for a while but holes in elevation data = a chasm in the heightmap in Unity (which unfortunately was unsurmountable).  Most of the courses that would take my fancy in England are missing elevation data, so it's fictional stuff for now...

Hey!! There's a hole info board!!

Great work Gary (on behalf of BARE players). Maybe there are yardage markers down the fairway as well. Nevertheless, stunningly good looking course.

Thinking of picking up a GTX 1060 in the next couple of weeks.  Would that card be able to handle 3D grass?  Also I am currently using Windows 7 with 16 GB of RAM.

I would think card could handle 3D grass, but as we don't have any in game to test, I can't say yes for definite.
