Hey guys, here's my course. It's a real course in Bath, Mi  made from lidar. Take it for a test drive and let me know if you encounter any problems. I also included a recorded round.  :D

Big thanks to jt83 for the lidar and overhead, bortimus for the trees, Justin9926 for the houses, LarryKuh for various assets, M Rose for Tee Markers , DPR and K11 for their tutorial videos and of course all the unsung heroes on the internet who share their 3d work and textures for free.

The clubhouse is not a replica of the real one. I'm going to watch DPR's "house building" videos and fiddle with Blender and who knows, I may miraculously create something that looks similar to the Clubhouse.  <_<

Why don't you use mega for downloading courses? It's proven hundreds of times without any problems.

here is the easiest way to do just use the PGLS upload page

is a good idea since it is where people come to get the courses as very few

even visit here anymore and we will get it into beta testing all thanks to Mark

the owner of PGLS.

I installed the course but the course didn't show in PG. Is it because of the blanks in the course name? I'm no designer but all my courses have names without blanks. Maybe you should use underscore instead of blanks.

Can you guys tell this is my first time? lol Sorry about the hassles guys. Okay, try this (worked for me) Right click on the folder, click rename, then click space and add 61. Here's a pic of what the folder should look like after fixing.

I didn't know changing the folder name before I uploaded it would do that? Learn something new every day! lol

Played a quick 18 and you did a great job on the course.  Love all the mounds and how they frame the fairways.  Also the telephone posts and noticed lots of objects like the canoe and tent here and there that added to the immersion.  The people are a nice touch and wouldn't it be great if you could animate them.

The FPS was very good.  I have a high end PC and video card and have my camera set to 10,000 yards and a resolution of 2560 X 1440.  The lowest FPS I got on a tee box was 50 on hole 14 and the highest was 128.  I had a lot of holes where the FPS was over 100.  I have dynamic sky set to off.

The course is long and the fairways generous and I was surprised at how few trees there are on the course but it certainly is an interesting one to play and not as easy as it looks.

One graphics comment. The sun appears as a grey disc in the sky so you may want to revisit the skybox you are using.  I'm going to play it again and will provide more comments if needed.  Thanks for posting this for the community.

Thanks! I had fun doing it... :D

Yes, 14 tee is the most demanding. Not sure why, but even before I really started, it was showing low fps.

Actually, that's supposed to be a daytime moon... :P  I'll try to get it lighter...

not sure if this has anything to do with design, but we were unable to play 3 person points.
it would only let 2 into the round and even took away the ability to invite the 3rd player through the steam invite system, however, we were able to play 3 person stroke play without any issues. I did hit one in the water on I think maybe the 15 or 16 hole where I was not offered a drop and had to leave and reboot the game to get back. other than that no issues it is a great course and plays well.
