i have posted a file in there to, i sat it up removed your player from the round and
played it like that.
Dave,
Started to play both your round and mine at Gary Player GC - no oddities through 5 holes. I'm going to delete mine anyway, and we can all play off your round (for conditions and pins). My version is Gary Player_v4.

I can't miss putts on Perfect greens is all. It's almost not any fun for me. Besides, I didn't ask my question so as to start a new discussion on perfect greens in a non perfect green thread.
I'm not sure how you play, Art, but perhaps it's time to turn off the grid and BLI. And no worries, I've got 30 or so RND files that I'm renaming and preparing to upload so you'll have plenty of rounds to beat as you adjust to no aids putting ....

I have played no BLI (I've never used the grid, it's ugly). It just takes about a minute for me to read a putt and for online play, most people don't like that delay.

Well done then, if you don't miss many! You probably don't want to play against the rounds I'm uploading now, then ....
25 rounds, and I hope I culled out all of the duplicates from the FRET I and II rounds. Apologies if I've duplicated some; I'm just dumping them in the "file them for me" folder.
*EDIT: I drag-n-dropped most of the files into the appropriate course folders, but there were a few courses that didn't seem to have folders. I wasn't sure where to put them, so they are left in the "file for me" folder.

I've gotten the OK from all of the FRETT I & II participants (not heard from Alan54nc or LLT_Rotator) to upload their FRETT scores to the Recorded Database. Thank you guys! I'll add these later tonight. (Done - about 50 new rounds to the database).

Just an update of where things stand with the Recorded Rounds Database [10June17]:
- 16 Members have contributed rounds
- Of the 106 Real courses - we have 177 Recorded rounds [34% LOW 47% MED 19% HGH]; 28 courses with no recording.
- Of the 91 Fictional courses - we have 44 Recorded rounds [55% LOW 30% MED 15% HGH]; 56 courses with no recording.
- Two "Post a Score" Tournaments - The Australian Open and the South African Open.
I'll try to do an update every month or so.
I've also added 3 columns to the spreadsheet (at MEGA) to keep track of rounds played at each course. Help yourself to a copy.
I copied this info to the top of the thread. Thats where I'll update from now on.

DoGgz - I see your 5 rounds in the "Drop Folder". Before you upload, rename your files as follows (directions in the "read me first" doc):
prefix of HGH_ for a score of +5, or greater
prefix of MED_ for a score of +4 to -4
prefix of LOW_ for a score of -5, or lower
then after the course name, your handle - _DoGgz
*** What score catagory were you rounds in? ***
When you first log onto MEGA, there is a READ ME FIRST word doc, and a PG_Course_Directory spreadsheet.
The speadsheet mirrors the file structure set up on MEGA - courses sorted by geographic location. Help youself to a copy.
soz for late reply, my rounds were prob in the low category, maybe one in medium not sure, will remember for next time...thanks

I'll mark them all as LOW. If someone plays a round, and its incorrect, they can either change it or tell me.

If you're looking for rounds to play against, mine are TP with the Caliber ball (when you play against an Avant ball, the distances and snap penalty default to that ball).

so this is why i was short on everything when playing one of your rounds. the dead giveaway for me with telling it was the shorter ball
was when i was getting a ton of undue backspin on approach shots. i swear i get way to much backspin off that ball that is why i don't use it much.

As far as I can tell, the two balls (Caliber & Avant) have the same initial spin for any give club. Backspin for the 64W doesn't stop until you get to about an 80% strength shot, and decreases to no backspin for a 52W at 100% (no wind, same elevation, no slope, normal green). Backspin stops roughly for initial ball spins of ~8000 rpm, or less. The bracketed variables play a large part, along with final ball speed (~45mph) and spin-down loss of RPM's.
What gets me is adjusting to the Avant snap penalty. The Caliber is like playing PRO with shorter clubs.

If I record my own round versus other players recorded rounds, should not my round be saved if I tick that option?
Played two rounds vs JMK and Dave and was going to upload mine but they were not in the folder where they should be, think I did this before?

GJ (can I call you that?) - I've been doing some testing of this very issue. So far, it seems a 50/50 chance that the saved recording will appear. Recording the initial round (by yourself) works 100% of the time. I havn't figured it out yet, but I hope to. John
