WOW!!! Absolutely gorgeous course and very playable even with my old box.  Granted I had to lower my graphics down to my "Reflective Water" settings, but it does not effect the beauty of your design.  The planting is superb and that Clubhouse was calling to me from the 18th green to climb up there and have a pint at the 19th hole.  You have truly outdone yourself Dr. Rob.

I would like to say more, but I've got another Tee Time in just 5 minutes and I have to get back to the first tee.

Does anyone know why Internet Explorer and Mega don't get along very well?

I have no idea what the issue is, but Mega posted the following in their blog in 2013.  I would have thought in the last 4 years, things may have changed.  I know I used to have a few issues using Firefox with Mega until I signed up for a free account.  After that, I haven't had any issues.

Try that again .....

A great credit for all of the hard yards in reducing tri's Dr. Rob.

I am playing with a Nvidia GTX770 card, which I would say is about as close to reference as you would want to be now for minimum specs. Sure, I get some low frames (lowest was around 24fps when settled down), but I can't say it damaged my gameplay. It may do for those of the click fraternity, as their inputs rely more on what the computer can output, but for a mouse swing, it played just fine.

Superb and innovative work around the bunker edges and with the myriad plantings. Those sleeper bunkers look fantastic and we're once again starting to get into the immersion you achieved in famous titles and groundbreaking work from back in the days of Links.

Still seeing a different texture around the pins.

I can't seem to remember what causes this, but

could be planting or moving pins and not recalculating.

I saw that also, on most holes IIRC, but wasn't sure if it was intentional or an issue..

Nice course - Planting makes for some rough FPS situations early on but it was much more acceptable after about hole 3 or 4 I think (foggy - was late last night)

Really cool clubhouse too!

I know both PingZing and DogGz had this problem with their early courses ....

Great-looking course. After seeing your planting it makes me want to go wipe out everything on my course I'm doing right now and start over :) But I could probably do that 10 times  and not get it to look a quarter of what yours does. I have a  Asus ROG laptop with a I7 and GTX 970M graphics card and used the Default  settings  on  ultrahigh with dynamic skies turned off. I believe my lowest frame rate was 24 but for the most part  played fine.  One thing I took notices you have extra shot points on the course you don't  really need. Par threes  don't need any, Par fours  only need one on the fairway and par fives  should have two  shot points on the fairway.  There's no need for any shot points on the greens  as the flag represents  the shot point.  I'm not sure if they AI player will be affected with a  shot point placed on the green. It may want to aim at the shot point instead of the flag..  But other than that course is Gorgeous..

Wonderful course, excellent layout and bunker work at a level i am never gonna be tempted to try and attain, kudos for that, so many of them too..wow! Great planting and texturing, all natural looking, like the long spindly grasses a lot. the towels gently moving on the ball washer thingy's is also a great touch.

Hope you do not mind some critique, feels wrong to bring any negatives here as its stunning work, but i prob won't be alone.... The FPS was pretty bad thru out, it was just about playable but only just. I dropped my resolution down to 1600x900 and turned off a few things but it did not improve much at all, I think there are just too many bushes thru out the course, and i actually think the course would look better without as many as there are, they tend to dominate the visuals, and i'm pretty sure they are responsible for the poor FPS.  IMO you could lose two thirds of those bushes, which in turn would make them less dominating and greatly improve FPS, i say this as a guy that wants to play this beauty over and over and enjoy what is a fantastic layout and a great challenge...please consider a bush cull, people cannot fully appreciate this course if they are forced to drop quality settings just to be able to play a smooth round...Outstanding work, will be checking updates with interest.

A work of art. Lowest FPS was 23 with an I5 4690k and a GTX 970 and a high of 45 on ultra all sliders maxed. I can live with that.

My only critique is the fact the only short par four is a forced layup. I've always felt that every course should have a short par four, not necessarily drivable, but one that doesn't limit your options like a forced layup. Beautiful hole though so I can live with it.

I should say my specs are...

Nvidia GTX 970 strix 4GB

Intel skylake i5 6500

8 GB corsair ram

no issues on other courses, this one kills me when i need to play short putts and chips, the FPS issue makes it easy to overhit these shots

Just for clarity, do you mean On "Ultra" or "sliders maxed"?

Or Ultra texture quality and then you max all the sliders?

It's confusing as Ultra is a preset in settings, but is also specifying texture quality.

Also, what resolution?

Or Ultra texture quality and then you max all the sliders? And that max FPS was on the edge of the course looking away. Probably averaged about 30 FPS.

Yeah, ultra pre-setting and all sliders maxed. I do have the processor overclocked to 4 GHz from 3.5 and 16 Gb of ram and the game installed on an SSD. Oh yeah, 1080 resolution.

I remember planting many many bushes on the hillsides when i created torrey pines, they killed fps and had to cull most of them, i think thats whats causing fps issues here, i really think the course would still shine without so many, its the first thing i noticed stood on tee 1  the bunkers should have struck me first considering how beautiful they are, but it was the bushes that grabbed my attention.

That. Does. NOT. Suck.

:)

Went to Digital Storm and ordered me up a nice gaming machine :)

Intel i3 chip at 3.9G

16 gig DDR4 RAM

GeForce 970 GTX 4gig vid card

240G SSD

1TB HD

Windows 10

It's HERE!!  JNPG runs great with all the bells and whistles at max or close to it...  I still turn 3D render off for the swing, tho.

If you overswing, you can put it in the front bunker. I like it as risk reward but can't really get to green unless down wind.

Thanks all...a few things.

The readme file says you need a powerful computer to play this course. I play at default ultra settings but don't max out the sliders and get at my lowest fps 23. Then I avaerage about 30 fps on a i5core intel. 1920 resolution

Players are maxing out their sliders...you don't have to. Keep the sliders at default for ultra high and then adjust depending on if your rig will handle it

The planting and bushes will stay,...I've already thinned it out and decreased the LOD. The bushes then billboard at a certain yardage

1.1 beta will have fixes for OGT

-ladies tees and extra boxes added makes course play shorter for simulators
-extra shot points deleted
-stroke indexes fixed
-that short par four you need to play from forward tees to drive green, otherwise short iron layup for a beautiful visual second shot in
-bunker properties green side bunker hole 18 fixed
-hole 15 green changed and extra bunker added
-hole 10 terrain lowered to see landing area off the tee
