Next stop: Early Release - to late for a private beta invite, I'd say.

If you don't have a Steam account yet, I would suggest you go there and open one.

I figured that it was too late....I have a steam account. I'm really looking forward to being able to play a great golf game. Haven't seen one that has the potential to be that like PG can be.

Courses Created with Course Forge:

Bellerive CC

Fishers Island

Forest Hills CC - WIP

Never thought I'd hear you ever suggest that K11....  ;)

I still loathe Steam, Ian. I call it the CrapForge. Stinking game pimps... Alas, if we want to play PG, we must crawl through their realm of despair.

Steam isn't all that bad.  I had been away from it for years and got back into it with the release of Assetto Corsa.  I started a little group of races and eventually we move our whole operation out of Steam and to a website.

The move was a good move.  Steam is probably the best place to go to for PP in order to get people involved and to increase sales.  TGC turned out to be a bust and there are many, many folks looking for a good golf game.

I'm really looking forward to the release of PP.  Maybe before February rolls around we'll have it in our hands and be playing it.

Alan

I've never used Steam before, but imagine it's similar to Xbox Live with a crap load of ads.  Like Alan said though, certainly a good way to get the word out about PG.

Been using Steam for years... While it had issues in the beginning.. there isn't anything wrong with it now.

The only issues arise if you have to deal with them, like it you lose your account login. I had that happen. Only advice I would ever give anyone with Steam is; make sure your email is update and current!

I will say this - If this game was only available on Origins I would not be playing it. Now you wanna see a messed up delivery system in the gaming world, go play with that mess.

Originally when I first opened a Steam account,it was the only way to get access to a couple of games that a group of friends played on a weekly basis...my main problem was that I had always ''owned the physical disc'' and was unsure of direct downloads...Over the intervening years it has now just become second nature to use it as I have refined my buying of games to 'maybe update something' if bored with an old game (and of course my main interest a good Golf game, when released)

All the games I have  on Steam(about 75) are backed up on my hdd's so even if there were problems I've still got my copies

PG will be glad to hear that with EA's PGA Golf coming out soon.

LMAO .... Ditto bud, when I was playing TW Masters we couldn't even get thru a multiplayer game without losing connects. I'm not kidding it was so bad I might get thru 1 round in 20. That was pitiful indeed.

Well, and not to rush or seem like it's pushing... But 'that other adomination that calls itself a golf game' is becoming damn near unplayable.... In any form or fashion.

Sooo if PG were to come online anytime soon? Well, sayin'..

hurrrrrryyyyy....  :D

I'm assuming that you mean TGC? Many people, including myself, get a lot of enjoyment from TGC. It has its problems for sure, but it is not an 'abomination' or 'damn near unplayable'.

No.... I didn't mean that game... I was referring to WGT.

As far as I know it will run on XP, Vista, etc. The Key will be your hardware, not the OS.

Who cares...
