My list:

  • Balance 3C missed snap penalty for long, short game and putting or even better redo the whole 3C experience.
  • Ditch the static wind indicator at PR and TP levels.
  • Ability to select wind setting for normal round the same as we have for practice rounds.
  • Pin numbers and ability to select by numbers.
  • Ability to select custom tees.
  • More hardness option and differentiate between green and fairway firmness
  • Rough thickness/penalty slider, no course always plays the same.
  • Dust particles on full pick sand shots but a little smaller than splash shots
  • Improved chipping physics, it's getting better...
  • View replay from any freecam position

Just to name a few...   ;)

Good list highfade. I would suggest adding plugged lies (bunkers AND muddy fairways) and more ani options. Oh, and many more soundscripts-the ones we have are so boring.

My wanted options are:

1.  Record/Save round. including the ability to play against a recorded round

2.  Save Shot

3.  Save/Print Scorecard and Stats (Save as text file or send to printer)

4.  The ability to set pin locations for solo rounds by number on each green or randomly select pins.

5.  The ability to select different tees on every hole for solo rounds

First Person Golf Mode (a tournament mode). Where you walk or ride. Go to your ball. Lock in to the shot on proximity to the ball and play from a first person perspective in all swing modes but especially in RTSC and RTSM mode. That's the dream really. Imagine playing other players and well done AI in this type of mode.

I really like the first person perspective for a round, including the top camera for all shots with a look out to the left to see your target.

  • Ability to disappear the dude

The ability for the avatar to fade or disappear (or perhaps not even be there with a 1st person perspective) would by my number 1 suggestion.

- take a close look at the physics. (spin out of the rough, ball sometimes "sticks" on the fairway when it should roll down a collection area)

- a new "putting mode". The BLI and grid system is too precise. With those methods it isn't possible to simulate realistic putting numbers. Numbers are way too low. Maybe there could be a seperate putting view (with colours to simulate the different slopes (red uphill - blue downhill). In this view we could see the conturs of the green - in the actual game screen this information wouldn't be available. So we would aim "by heart".

I'll add another vote for recorded rounds.  Playing against the recorded rounds of other players was such a great feature of Links and for me and others is sorely missed here.

Agree.  This would be a very nice feature.  Sometimes it's difficult to coordinate schedules to play live.  It's also great for saving your best rounds and seeing if your friends can beat it.

In addition to rated multiplayer games; the global lobby also needs moderators, and automatic language censors.

Also, the undulations on golf courses need to be tighter and more smooth. Currently there exist far too many blocky bulges on the turf in this game.

I find that playing along with a recorded tournament round (unknown score for the given round though) of a player near me in the standings adds a lot of atmosphere to the game.  I usually do this in round three and particularly round 4 in a Golf Club tournament.  I go between full turn-based and simultaneous play when I do, but it's nice to have this option.
