I give up. For whatever reason, JNPG on my system is not going to execute the commands in my autoexec.cfg file. Alas...
Swing Meter colors now adjustable!

I've done some playing around this morning with the cfg file, but I'm getting some inconsistent results at times. My findings (so far) are as follows:
- Changing the colours of the swing meter ONLY works with the "Swing Meter" option, not the "Swing Meter Pointer" or any other swing meter type.
- The lines in the file must begin with two dashes, as in --. One dash or underscores do not work.
- If the line refers to the default setting, you may not see it in the console.
- If the cfg file has bad syntax in any of the lines, that line and all others below it do not execute.
- Given #4, you may be able to keep various settings at the bottom of your file. Then you could just copy the setting from below the bad syntax line to somewhere above. Theoretically, you should be able to keep as many different settings/meter colours that you want.
- I don't know if these are the same for OSX or Linux, as I can only test on Windows 10.
- The case doesn't seem to matter, but I try to use the same as shown in the console.
- It appears you can use either a space or the equals sign (=) to set the value.
I'm having trouble getting game_downColor to run, so I'm still testing.
This has been resolved - see #3

I give up nothing seems to work just going round & round.
I'll have to rely on 1 of the devs to change it completely.
I would like to thank you all for helping me with this problem.

But if the Devs change it to the colours you want, they might not be what others want, which is why they have given us the cfg file tweak.I give up nothing seems to work just going round & round.

I'm sure they must have tested it on a Mac, so maybe they can talk you through the process.

Crusher, I am able to get the yellow/orange meter to work but not the yellow/blue, I get the yellow but the down color is one I can't describe. Can you recheck the values for the yellow/orange, just to make sure their right?
Thanks

Warren,
Back in post 44 you showed a screen shot of your console, where it appeared the meter colours were set to 255,255,0,100 and 0,255,255,100. If that had no impact on your meter, then you may not have the right meter showing. Make sure your controls (SETTINGS, CONTROLS) is set to "Swing Meter", otherwise these settings won't make any difference. I suspect you may be using "Swing Meter Pointer".
And if that doesn't work, then try the file I emailed to you - it seems to load with my installation without issue. Just save it in your \Config folder.
Here is what those colours look like:

FWIW, the in-game colors compared to the HTML palette come out much brighter or lighter. Could be a Unity engine thing. It took me several tries to realize this when I made the turquoise/dark red meter.
Also, do yourself a favor and set the opacity to 255, that is the last number of the 4. Easier to see in the sandtrap, where I seem to end up frequently.

Hehehe ... yeah I tried the spectrum from 255 down to 0 ..... 0 was quite a chore (i.e., might as well close your eyes, since the color didn't display at all!)

OMG... after all this time, I finally got the color thingy working. With a lot from help from Crusher, and an email from Armand, I found out...

I can tell you why they won't change. You have to change the numbers, those numbers you posted here are the default numbers in the game. Here is what my config file shows but I only changed the up color and the forward cam speed.
--cam_sensX=.5
--cam_sensY=0.2
--cam_forwardSpeed=5
--cam_sideSpeed=1
--cam_upSpeed=.1
--game_upColor 0,255,0,199
If you copied and pasted this in your config file you would get a slightly faster forward cam and only the up color would change to a lighter green. Video here showing what I have mine set to look like.
Yes! Your "up" color works perfectly with the standard "down" color. Great post.

Did you try it? Make another .cfg file with those numbers and it should look just like the video below.

I just read the forum at lunchtime and work and saw the post. Plus, I have no urge to want yellow and blue on the meter, so noo, I haven't tried it. If it dies actually work, then all is good.

He PM'd you but no reply.
