Wasn't in a ground moving mood today,

thought I build a test Clubhouse.

Throw in your own innuendos, I'll keep

mine for the next evergreen pics.

Great work! Why no shadows? But now I finally understand your demands for attendance of some of my sisters over at Blue Balls Mansion...

Now, where were we...? Ah! Pines. Progress report and final specimen roll call:

J5f8EP0.jpg

  1. Fugly Pine. Delightfully imperfect.
  2. Zombie Pine. Utterly dead, but still not buried.
  3. Ballsy Pine. An evergreen with attitude.
  4. Arrowhead Pine. Stupidly tall and minimal.
  5. Fatbastard Pine. Branches out where it shouldn't.
  6. Toilet Brush Pine. Helps cleaning the air.
  7. Umpteen Pine. The first pine model that survived after umpteen minus one attempts.
  8. Mistakenly added, see 5.
  9. Trembly Triplets Pines. Small group to add volume at the bottom or front of 1 to 7.
  10. Hedgehog Pine Cluster. Ludicrously impeding your view, increasing the biomass.

All these models share the same leaves, bark and branche materials. They all belong to newly created taxonomic genus of "Kablammia Borealis Sempervirens" owned by the nicest multinational corporate behemoth there ever was.

Next up: 3 to 4 non-conifer bushes.

NoPutt, the stage is set. You may unleash your barrage of witticisms...

Imported my trees and bushes into Five Sisters. They do not suck. At least not badly...

Fjz8W2T.jpg

Above is the 1st tee, below is the 18th, basically the reverse view from the other side of the valley.

2LmXqxz.jpg

Trees will only grow that far up the hill though. At a certain point they will not prosper in this high altitude. Here's that point, barely halfway up the course, near the second sister:

And finally I've made a build and went to scope out the place in PG... here's the video

If you look closely in EA sport's offering you will see they don't offer true real time reflections, its an autogenerated cubemap using reflection probes which we are in the process of integrating. Not sure when that will be complete though as at the moment we have our hands full with the rts stuff.

I presume cubemaps were used for Augusta National, correct?  Whatever it is, it looks nice:

Take a Picture make a poster

Well done K11, waterfalls and sound  bring it too life and make it exciting

Like the dam walls and water effects too along the water ways

The mountain peaks foreground and background with snow look great

Downloaded water fx particles again tried it months ago , didnt work well for me back then  ,

any tips k11,

do i just use the waterfall prefab. what about  steamspray

and not sure what  volumesteam is

Also there is a script file in there and they make me nervous as they caused big prolems last time for me in unity

will play around with it again, cant find any useful tips in unity, still very green knowledge wise

might start up a new project and play around with it

Nice work k11  love it

Thank you very much and for the humour as well

Ping, take out the particle effects you need from the waterfall prefab, delete those you don't. Then start tweaking everything in the Byzantine inspector settings to find out what's what. Ignore the script file. Once you are happy with a certain particle effect, rename it as you see fit and then drag it from the hierarchy into your assets to get a new prefab that you can use in other locations. What you perceive as being 1 waterfall is in fact, on my end, a newly formed, tailor-made cloud of up to six prefabs inside a new prefab. With waterfall prefabs and steam prefabs in it. It's an utter calvary, my friend, and you must climb Golgotha alone. T'is the nerdy, greasy, spotty geeks who hate mankind, simplicity and logic who ordained that it must be that way, to defend their ill-gotten perks from mortals such as us.

Took me a couple weeks to get a smidgen of an inkling of a basic idea how this works - it would take me a month to write it all down...

And I do not have that time. Five Sisters, Hole 1 just got deflowered:

Now remember this, everybody. You just saw, above, a 450yd par 4 that goes 60ft uphill being easily reached with a 3W and a 7i. That's because the altitude set for this course is at 1650 meters ASL. And that means, PG does adjust for altitude if set in CF, that your ball will fly a lot further. For every shot on Five Sisters that will be a bit more than one club less.

I have petitioned the makers of PG to adapt club distances to altitude, so that the caddy does not give you too much club on every shot. To no avail, so far.

I'm liking the Toilet Brush Pine even more in game.

Playing with some accessories today, waste bin and

water cooler to come.

Was thinking of adding one of those novelty tee dispensers,

have you seen them? They're called Strip Teez

Too many polygons, I'm afraid. But lovely polygons nevertheless...

Real life golf etiquette and general tastefulness are circling the drain, then, I take it?

Actually quite low on polys, just a slight sub-division on

the curved rails, the washer has no sub-divisions, but I

could simplify the crank a bit as it contains two spheres

that aren't really needed.

This will be a Family Friendly course, just thought you

might could use the Strip Teez in the lobby of the Oasis

party/casino course.

I've got my titillational requirements covered. The Lodge will be a classy place with proper female cabaret artistes stripping only because they love acrobatic dancing and wish to avoid sweat stains on their clothes or tears in their stockings. They also double as caddies during daytime and as such will try to get huge tips, to help pay for their university studies in philosophy, egyptology, social science, micro-biology, epidemiology, nano-physics. They would, rightly so, refuse any involvement with this project if a single Strip Teez were to show up at this sophisticated and professionalised resort.

Try to stear clear of the "huge tips" and the "stains"

And for something totally different... a TGC conversion.

Loosely based on TGC course, Cape Fear.  I've ditched the pot bunkers but the layout is more or less the same. Obviously the elevation work is all new but a lot of fun.
