I'll check on that Daz, I don't use Bandi much so I may
have missed a checkbox or something. I did edit using
Movie Maker, Probably lost something there too.

Not sure if this helps you guys, but if you are running windows 10, it has video capture built in. Within your application just press the Windows Key + G and it will bring up record options.

I've used Win 10 recorder on my laptop, it's
neat and does a decent job. I'm just not ready for 10
on my main desktop. i found an old Windows program
that used to be pricey but is now free. Expression Encoder Pro 4.
It has a Best quality selection and 1080p. It doesn't record
but should enhance quality. I'm trying it now so we will see.

I have used open broadcast in the past. That work pretty good for free. But my new laptop has the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M card so I use shadowplay now.
Here's the link to open broadcast

New Unity Project called "Tree Nursery" - that's where I create trees that I will later import into my courses to plant them there. Five Sisters will be populated by pine trees with Xmas tree shapes exclusively.
Turns out that making a regular pine tree is something that the Unity Tree Editor is very bad at: It's branches all point up by default, as do the leaves, requiring a lot of - or rather too much - manual adjustment. See the two group of trees at the right of frame? Here's a closeup:
They are billboard pastiches, small groups of very low-poly non-trees, made for use in the medium and far distance exclusively. Salutations to Mr. Ted_Ball for his inspiration in his latest tree musings. Seen from close by, they utterly stink. I have no idea if this will work, but I am willing to give it a shot.
(Mssrs Daz and NoPutt: Could we do this one without any Tara comments and pine cone innuendos?)

I heard theres a Bethpage black already In the works.
For now Im experimenting to get the right textures, planting sets, and techniques to hopefully start a fictional course. I will then tackle some APCD courses
what you see up there are practice areas...I play around, test, wipe clean and start again. this week its been textures, layers etc. Last week planting grasses

Still struggling with pine trees. It's quite hard to get this type of tree...
Unless, of course, you use the trick revealed in the top view: Two angled billboards alongside a trunk. Gives you lots of tree action for a low tri count, but looks horrible at close distance.
I've picked this trick up in the hallowed sanctuary of Crystal Pines, conducting a lengthy F5 surveillance into mountain trees. I will add 5 or six more models of these, but this will still leave me with bushes and foreground pines, firs and spruces that will not be as simple to manufacture. And when it comes to good pine models, both the indigenous Unity trees and the Speedtrees offer an utterly and shamefully sucky choice, as long as you refuse to pay an arm and a leg for a high-poly specimen that probably is too tri-laden to be of any use anyway. And I'm wary of falling back on the old PP U4 shortleaf thingies...
Ah... we shall see...

I would never use innuendos.

Thanx for the preview, Rob. Looks great. As an old fan of Links I can´t wait to play your courses with PG.

Since the entire world is holding its breath over my terrible struggle with the Unity tree creator (glitchy!), here's the latest instalment of my "Pining 4 Pines" dodekalogy. I've managed to narrow down the best method to get the pine tree look (creased frondes, no leaves or branches, same as palm trees) translated into the craptastic Unity tool that so easily could be brilliant and so blatantly isn't:
From left to right: The Fatbastard Pine, the Toilet Brush Pine and the Umpteen Pine. They do not obey to biology, but only to my desire for specific shapes and contours, which, put together, create dynamic forestry. Or that's the plan.
Will sleep over it and if it doesn't stink in the morning, will probably improve on the leaf material, making it a bit more irregular and spiky.

I'll just rename it to Pipe Cleaner Pine. Or Melting Popsicle Pine.
There also will be Arrowhead, Fugly, Trembly, Hedgehog, Ballsy and Zombie Pines - I just finished sketching them over a cup of coffee. And left corresponding instructions for our resident Blammocorp! plant geneticist, Mr. Chris P. Nutts, to start working on them.
