You can go to quality settings in unity and set the LOD bias to .5, this will billboard all the trees while you are in editor. CF will be coming to you soon Mr Rose!

Looking forward to your contributions, Mr. Rose. Water is easy, find a water plane under terrain assets and drag it into the view. Or wait for the proper PP_water to find you.

Rotten, heart-wrenching bit of bad luck. Looks like our blessed little pitch and putt course just has been cursed with some nasty and undesirable people moving in next door. Some big, multinational corporate types at that...

Hello Matt,

Just 3 holes, which works out good as it makes a quick 9 or 18 work perfectly.  The first 2 pictures show greens 1 and 2 which were made after filling in a 36 foot diameter hole left after I had the seller remove the semi buried above ground pool, which I filled and had sodded. The 3rd picture is of the 3rd green which was part of the existing yard. The yard was a nightmare when I bought the house about 3 years ago. Nothing but dirt, crabgrass, weeds and dandelions. It has come a long way.  It is an embellishment of Amen Corner, hence the yellow flags and logo. I had a friend from my Masonic lodge do the logo on the flags.

Used that logo to make my own logo golf balls for anyone that visits to play a few holes.

Textures are my weakness (among others) but I'm

NoPutt, please don't misinterpret my comments. This texture, for a fairway, looks to heavy, i.e. it looks like long grass blades tangled together, rather than a finely manicured cut fairway especially the near view. Seems more suitable for a 2nd cut of rough, IMHO.

obviously this will all look better when i get to add course forge to my tools. But in the mean time i just did some unity only tests to get some shaping done.

Fair enough Richard, I agree actually, it was just that the Fairway is where I tried the texture. I will try it

in the Rough and come back for another opinion. The default CF textures are as they say "Perfect" and I'm

trying to add a little more coarseness but went too far. I expect to get a real a**-whooping when the testers

" get a holt" (southern slang) to me). Thanks bud.

Don't feel bad. I'm convinced when I create a new texture set that it's the greatest thing ever. Then I see someone else's.

 

Actually, course designing in general is a little like this...

Planting has started, but not very good :unsure:. I think I need to start running the course in game.

Is there a check list of things needed to get the course running

I have one hole with Tees, pins, and a way point. I know it needs an OB, but is that around the entire course or just needed somewhere on the course? any other tips and input would be appreciated.

You need to draw an OOB all the way around the course so the course is, in effect, inside the circle
