I presume that the version in PG has been updated to U5 but these new tinkerings- I just love that word!!- are yet to be implemented?

I have no pc for the foreseeable due to a power cut and blown motherboard- those power surge boards do not work btw

Can't wait to see the updated version of the game which I hope will be later this week- subject to our friends at Scan.co.uk delivering the new piece of kit

You presume correctly, mcthommo. Willow Heath U5 is unchanged and you are witnessing my tinkerings on the new and hopefully better version. Most changes will be cosmetic; Willow Heath being my first CF job, there are still a few dozen things I spotted during my rounds that I know I can do better - and that keep annoying me even more every time I see them again. 

May your sad disconnect end asap and may you enter a new era of electronic bliss. Will be a couple weeks, though, I guesstimate, until the new Willow Heath will be made public. Until then, enjoy the only marginally different old one.

While McTavish is standing around with

no trees in sight, I thought he might need

some libation, so I built him a water cooler.

Turns out he doesn't drink water, says

it makes him rusty, but whiskey polishes

him to a fine shine. Oh well, I'm keeping the cooler.

 

I know, the rough texture looks crap, it's going to change.

Every cooler that I have owned allowed for any content as long as it was liquid. I'd consider it, it sure beats waiting for the beer and booze cart.

Either McTavish has lost a lot of weight since last I saw him or somebody unticked the billboard box in his settings. 

Still, it's a good idea. I feel tempted to add a row of boxy beverage dispensers to the Lodge tee areas. And perhaps slot machines. No reason why the players shouldn't spend cash for their libation - they are not supposed to leave the premises with any money left in their pockets anyway.

Very Nice Tim, be sure to put a lid on it, and make the legs

longer so you can bury it at the right height. I'm sure

K11 will have an electric/solar dispenser next.

Richard: I think I read once that courses have 18

holes because there were 18 shots in a bottle of scotch.

Planting has just begun on Brushy Creek Golf Club.

All holes now playable in game. Possibly ready for testing

in a week or so if all goes well.

Played 18 this morning and without

intending to, I gave the new trees a

thorough collision test.

Sorry to steal NoPutts thunder (not really), but this just in:

 

Next Project will be "Pommeroy's Pitch'n'Putt" - maybe to be renamed later into "E-Z Golf Shack"

 

 

The plot will be 400 by 400 meters small (@ terrain resolution 1025). The course itself will be inside a 280 by 280 meter square in the center (red line), leaving 60 meters minimum distance to the edge of the plot.

Holes will range from 20 to 80yds in length - the course is a training facility to work on your short and approach game. There will be 3 tees per hole, placed at different angles into the target rather than at different distances.

See the blue dot on the greens? That could, if it works, be a 4th tee area for putting challenges only.

 

But that's for a rather distant future. Right now I need to finish the upgrade of Willow Heath, then complete Oasis Lodge.
