Your cute little Rover is about to send disturbing images back to Earth, Deena.
Brief exposition afore I explain further: With the U5 conversion of PG and its tremendous toll on manpower, support on the CF side has all but vanished in the last weeks. Without any additional input on lighting, new shaders, vegetation workflow and a few dozen more crucial things I risk to cause the project involuntary damage - or at least huge delays - by not knowing all that I need to know now. It's a little revolution, and revolutions always are cruel and violent. Hence my reticence to push on.
What's left for me to do is to slowly take care of the safe stuff. And there was one thing that I always knew needed more attention. This:
The first draft for the central Casino/Hotel. It looks barely acceptable. Also, these being the vicissitudes of 3D design when hamfistedly undertaken by non-geek clowns like me, it did not really look like what I truly had in mind to begin with. I wanted something modern and vast, slightly ethnic, yet dominant and powerful.
I also wanted it to be slightly reminiscent of Jabba's Barge - and I must insist that this is not related to my perennial fantasy of coaxing Tara into a Slave Leia outfit. Anyway, this called for a complete redo and here is the new thing:
Locals call it "The Porcupine", because of the many spikes on top. Actually, they called it "The Blunder Dome", but I sent Tara over with a platoon of French Foreign Legion mercenaries to gently enforce the official terminology.
Note how the Casino complex resembles a prison. That's because both types or buildings use similar structures to keep the inmates customers in: Outer wings converging on a central control space. The Porcupine features 192 living units, each with it's own balcony. Every wing has a top deck underneath shade panels.
The Porcupine will be visible from each part of the course and double as a landmark and orientation point for golfers on their rounds.
Now for rain shelters, benches, waste baskets, ball washers, low walls, tee markers... no rush.
