They wouldn't be recreating them from the ground up. In the very worse case they can start fresh and easily reimport all the splines, heightmap, all the terrain painting and most probably object and vegetation placement too (but I haven't personally tried the latter yet). That's the majority of the work handled. The vegetation they'll probably be wanting to redo anyway with SpeedTree stuff. But that's the worse case - just opening the previous project and fixing what needs to be fixed will likely be easier.

I haven't given up on the Swan at all, it's there and it's ready - except for the surrounding software ecosystem which clearly isn't. Any more. One fine day it will happen - though I do not know when that day will be and exactly how it will come to pass.
Thats why my signature (A model of elegant simplicity and minimal aesthetics, unlike other design nightmare sigs I could mention and which I have blocked from showing) says "delayed".
On another tangent, if we manage to reach the bottom of this page and the top of the next one, Show & Tell will become a 1'000 post thread. Please contribute generously to this worthy cause.

Glad to do my part to bump up the numbers. It comes with a price though. Please pay a visit to my "Building a Course - Tymberlyne" threads in both forums and provide some of your veteran wisdom toward the questions I have just recently posted. Seems a fair trade (he said with a friendly nudge, nudge, wink, wink). Only 15 more posts here (after this one) and we hit the magic number.

Tarnations! There I thought I could cruise past the target mark of 1'000 without having to provide new content... But no, you sullen and maliciously taciturn lot, looks like I have to provide a few more pixels to get us there. I'll get there, even if I have to do it myself!
So, have a quick look at this first view of Oasis Lodge, explanations to follow afterwards:
The perspective in this shot is very compressed, since I made a long lens shot with the game camera.
What you are seeing and what I am showing are my base terrain textures - The wicked desert that will surround my little green and fertile waterhole. Green stuff, flowers and Daiquiris will be available aplenty closer to the water, but at the outside there will be nothing but arid, bone-dry, fearsome wilderness.
Oh, and you are looking at the 13th hole, 440y, one of 8 where water will come into play.

And here's a wasted extra-post just to tell you lazy folks that I will not share cake with you 9 posts from now.
And it's a good cake, too!
So there!

Get out the sunblock and Ray-bans it's gonna be a scorcher.
Forget the cake, if it's anything like Oasis Lodge it'll be
dry as dust.

I have a preference for potent potables at celebrations rather than culinary treats. Seven to go and I prefer my beer ice cold.

Very Nice K, I'm hoping Tara will be wearing something
a bit more suitable for the climate, and if you dare wrap her
in sheets, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest
your armpits.

Thanks for wanting it a bit, too, mcthommo.
Forum politics can be a bitch a times: With Brucey's Mac Show thread newly opened, it would be rude of me to post here and propel this one to the top of the list to make his vanish from view. He fully deserves the envious admiration of his peers, so I'm staying quiet for a bit. Now that you posted, I can pretend to write down something pertinent and nudge this one closer to the imminent target.
There has been a slight hiccup with U5 CF, more precisely that I somehow can't use it. So I'm currently creating the clubhouse - the area around tee 1 and holes 9 and 18 will need extra attention on this one, so that's okay. The original S&T has been open for over two years, so there's no hurry to reach an artificial albeit highly symbolic number.
