I have now played all the courses and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Everyone involved with the updating should be congratulated - I think you have done an awesome job. All the courses are works of art IMO and I look forward to all the future improvements in the game.

I prefer the old follow camera myself...bounces and all (I actually never had a problem with that...keeping the ball at the center of the view).

Try setting the caatch time to 0

The patch was ok, i feel the game worked better before the patch, everything worked  smoother. during an 18 hole round last night with some buddies the game lagged or the fps dropped so bad that making smooth shots was impossible. Furthermore the putting system would be better if there was some sort of cap on the putting to let us know how far the max put should be, i mean after 18 holes it wasn't as bad but there was still a lot of mess up and overshooting even after getting somewhat used to putting. so with a cap or something or even going back to the old method of putting would be great. at the very least the option of using the old putting method would be nice.

I set the catch time to zero and the flight is great...it's just once the ball lands that I don't like it as much.  It's just a personal preference of course...but it would be nice to have the option to select to either continue with the follow cam after landing (with the bouncing camera) or use the new smooth/panning option.

I hit the pin at florida and it ended up in california...needs fixing asap!

ok - made it through all the up-dates now and played couple rds--I really think this will be fantastic !!  I hit motion swing so got some re-learning to do --but everything looks gr8  game is runnin smooth -( whew now --im ready to start play on new courses !!!!!

Ok, just call me the Flip Flopper. The more I use Follow Cam on Catch_Time 0, the more I am really liking it... Remember Axe, count to 10 before you put foot in mouth.. lol.. Gr8 work Dev's... If I haven't mentioned that..

Liking the update the more I play.  I took a fairly substantial performance hit, but after adjusting settings I can live with that.  I think all of the new shot options are great, need to get to work on the range and see if I can get those dialed in.  Actually got it around at only a couple over today, maybe that is why my mood has changed.  Still have some minor gripes about the putting meter, but hopefully that is something that can be smoothed over in time.  I am beginning to get a bit more comfortable with the current version.  Looking fwd. to the new courses and whatever the Devs have in store for the next update.  Great work guys.  PG is virtually a different game now.  I know that took a ton of work.

Axe, I have also become a convert. Initially I used a setting of 7. I now prefer a setting of 0. But than again, tomorrow, who knows.  The beauty of options.

Egon, that was an issue earlier today, but an update was pushed that solved that issue. Do you have Steam set for auto updates? If not, I recommend you  do because the game will have frequent updates now that the U5 update is complete.

For anyone having 72% issues please check your courses folder to ensure you dont still have the courses from the earlier linux patch we pushed. If there are L in the course names at the end please delete your courses then validate your installs to get the correct courses.

Well have played at two courses and no drop in machine performance but my short game now sucks as bad as my real life short game. Lol. Putting is tough and as some have stated the excessive break is there but the overall putting is growing on me. The chip , lob and pitch is a whole new game and will now have to relearn. Graphics are just sweet and quite an improvement.

When you can see something from an impossible vantage during a virtual experience on a computer, one would be unadventerous and rather naive to not experience those vantages.

 

Tantamount to looking straight forward during a walk at night and not stopping to gaze upwards at the lights in the sky.

Your cam is more like hallucinating while you are out at night trying to find your way back to the party and you notice the stars and you stop in some sort of paralysis and your mind takes you on a trip to the Horsehead Nebula but then you realise it was just a horse - or your girlfriend (or boyfriend). I don't know.
