Not me. Golf+ and PGA 2K23 at the moment.

That's cool... for me, I am not into VR, but I am checking out a few lesser expensive golf simulators like Phigolf 2, especially because of the E6 software that you can use to play.  A few of the E6 course designers were the original designers of Access Software and Links!

Wow, never heard of GSPRO..  just checked out the course creator in YT, so very interesting for sure!   I will definitely check out some tutorials, but not sure I want to pay 250 per year for the software and course creator.

I see DP Roberts has tutorials on YT from over 2 years ago!   I see a lot of the same courses and splash screens used in GSPRO as they are in PG!

DP is behind most of the course creation tools for GSPRO. You can get involved with course design for free, but like you said it will cost you to play the courses.

Thanks Rob.

I'm playing Amateur as well. I find that level a lot of fun and quite realistic as well - so that should be great for me. Cheers

Wow, this forum is like, completely dead!    Is anyone still playing??   I'm actually having a great time playing and still discovering new courses that I've never played.   According to the PGLS course checker, I have approximately 234 courses NOT installed...  I'm going to go on a download frenzy as you never know when they will never be available for download again.

Carry on!

Yeah, it was like 3 months without a post. I thought maybe everybody moved over to the new EA golf game. If it was a little smaller, I'd probably try it, but 50 something gigs is just too big of a download for me.

Not me, Jug...  I could never get into the Tiger Woods game play and style.   Same goes for the Golf Club, Rory, etc.  Graphics are sweet, I am sure, but its just the overall style of those games I couldn't get into...

You getting a Quest 3?

How's that new Golf+ graphical update?

No, I don’t think so Buck. I’ve only had my Quest 2 for a while and it was a present.

The update is very good. More courses on the way too.

Best golf game ever.

To play against yourself and have a very interesting round.

So many subtleties - and very realistic.
BLI is great.

What's not to like. I even had a thought, ""Imagine PG2ooooo "". Even more stripped down!

I'm too lazy to look so, could someone jot down some (newish) courses they enjoy?

Medinah is my go to track. Great greens etc.

I played Ian K's Downland last night...  one of the most fun tracks I've played!   Have not played it in a while, but it was in the rotation and had a blast...

I remembered Downland once I got to the course. It was in my Top 10 at one stage.

Classy course.

I'm enjoying Cape Kidnappers 2020 by dropzone73.

The backgrounds and general visuals are photo-like and give a pleasing sense of distance.

Variable winds are good. Makes playing against a recording of myself 'fairer'. (Cheating b......!)

Wind there is a better challenge.

Not sure if anyone remembers me, but I thought I'd dip back in to reminisce...  I'm playing golf+ on the quest 2 now which is excellent.  I do sometimes miss course design but it's been so long (and the fact I now have a mac doesn't help) that I wouldn't even know where to start these days.  Good to see some familiar names still here though :)

Do you guys not find the Golf+ graphics a bit cartoony?

Is it better than it might seem when you're "in the headset"?

Buck what are you playing these days??   How have you been?

Mostly good thx

Still playing PG 4-6 days a week with my Uncle

I'd initially been excited about that EA game -- but not with what they released

That, and it's become clear that my Uncle has timed out a bit (nearly 87) and learning a new game of any kind (even golf) is just going to be much, so we are riding PG all the way at this point.

I hope it never stops working (my only worry at this point)

Man it kills me they won't release any kind of update or new version to parallel the TM PG2 version

Even if it were just bug fixes...would be so nice

I was wondering what you were up to...  Hope your uncle has many more years playing with you...

I took it upon myself to learn Course Forge..  check out my courses!  They are nothing great, but I had fun creating them!

Take care..

I eventually took the plunge and bought EA’s golf offering, after much badgering from my brother. What a load of crap the game is.

The swing system poor especially the putting. Needless to say I’ve gone back to 2K23, which I think is very good. It’s so much easier to create courses than on PG and the results can be fantastic. The controller swing with the swing timing is also much better than the EA game.

I can’t see myself going back to PG to be honest especially after the way the devs treated their user base. That still wrangles!

The graphics have become a lot more realistic from when the game was first released. The devs have changed the colour palette on all of the courses, which improves the look but it’s never going to look as good as games on the PC or PS5.
They are releasing courses on a regular basis and plan 14 this year. I have a minor gripe with the devs. The courses nearly always seem to be U.S. PGA ones. I’m not sure if they realise that there are thousands of fantastic courses across the world that they could recreate.
There are plans to develop a course designer but I won’t hold my breath. With the Golf+ courses costing from £8-£10 I don’t think people creating free courses with the course designer will be high on their list of priorities.

Good to hear it's improving

My main beef with the experience on this type of game in VR, so far, is the view in the distance not being up to spec.

I think that's mainly a hardware limitation.  VR headsets are of course continuing to get better so maybe it's just a matter of time on that.
