The graphics look mind-blowing. This guy owned a Delorean for 12 years and was seriously impressed how accurate the game model is... (1:20>3:17). I'm definitely getting more interested in VR!  :)

Sure does look amazing

I already own and have been playing (and loving) GT7 on my 32" 4k HDR 120hz monitor ... and I'm super pumped for next week to get "in" the cars with PSVR2!

The only thing with a PSVR is that you’ll have the cable to contend with. That’s fine using the VR with a racing sim but might be a problem if you try to play VR golf with it. It might sound strange but when I played Golf+ against my son, using the Quest, he had to charge his headset whilst playing. He found the best way to keep the cable out of the way was to pass it through his trouser leg, up his shirt, out at the collar and into the socket on the headset. It sounds comical but it works.

Good points Iank

I figured if set up correctly, like you said, the cable wouldn't be too bad since you don't really walk around a ton and mostly just "teleport" I assume?

I think Golf+ is many months away on PSVR2 though anyhow

Shame they aren't out at release

Always lots of impulse buyers when new hardware comes out.

I wish you guys wouldn't hijack an off-topic thread in a semi-derelict forum of an abandoned golf game.  Still...

OK. I'll admit it. I'm over-excited.  I think the EA game will have enough advancements to make it a worthy successor to PG and others.

I'm sure you'll be able to bypass all the money bullshit and play some good sim golf.

I'm still not convinced, simply because it is the "Tiger Woods" style and gameplay that I never got into.. It happened with Rory too.  not saying I won't buy it, but certainly not pre-ordering or on Day 1.   No way...  I will wait for a Steam sale or what have you and don't care how long that takes.   Unfortunately for players like me who enjoy the Links/PG style of game play, those days are over.

It does look good though, has lots of features and its a brand new, modern day golf game, so maybe I go for it...  we shall see.

Right there with you -- I've had to come to terms with it, unhappily

I've preordered it. Can't wait. What are most of you still playing until it releases? I play all of the games. PP, PGA 2K23, and of course Golf +, I might take a look at the other golf game on Quest 2.

I’m assuming that you mean Golf5 eclub? I have it but rarely play it. The physics and course designs are terrible, the clubs look like the sort that you would hire at a pitch ‘n putt course and there hasn’t been any development on the game for about a year.
It’s an incredibly frustrating game to play, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

"We also led custom LiDAR helicopter flights over each course in the game..."

So they went to the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Dominican Republic to get the course data?  How much money does this EA mob have?

Me too Ted

It looks like they just repackaged and touched up Rory

The stream that came out this morning was comically easy.

It was not the highest difficultly level at all -- but still

Hard to be excited until I see how different it plays from Rory, which was so easy it was boring

i'm still getting it because it looks so good. the difficulty settings might be ok with all the bs turned off. be really nice if they put the TW08 real time swing with mouse in.

The mouse swing is my only real hope here

I haven't seen or heard literally a single thing about it.

I hope they didn't just punt on that and scrap it

Strangely 3C isn't in at launch either -- that's odd because Rory had 3C, and this is mostly just Rory again.

Maybe they can't figure out how the gimmicky shot types are going to translate for the 3C and Mouse?

It must be Frostbite, because I don't think it looks that good.  Consoley.  Some of the things they've done sound impressive, but there's much that makes me doubt.  A good 3C might be what sways me.
