Realistic, therefore tough, sim for PC.  Free (with some restrictions).

Pick up games (King of the Table) have no aiming lines (for snooker anyway). Very hard.

Create your own table for friends or practice in 'Match/Team Play' where you can nominate aim lines - but they only extend about a virtual foot.

My name is Rollo Greb

Nice! Great graphics, ball physics and the ambience is nice. I was watching these guys go at it. Thanks for the heads up...

I grabbed the free version to test, Windows Defender was not happy with at least 2 dlls before I gave up and uninstalled.

I haven't played VP4 but the general consensus is SP is the best out there.

Extremely realistic.  My snooker game is exactly like my real snooker.  Hopeless.  I nearly gave up but bought the game so I could do a bit of practice.  I've noticed I am slowly improving.  Addicted now.

It has an ELO system which makes one-on-one gaming more compelling.  Another reason PG missed the boat IMO. (Never miss an opportunity to have a dig at PP.)

That's the result from Defender for the free version. I think I'll pass before I get inundated with unwanted ads on my box.

Post-prostate syndrome - or p-ps.

I was amazed by how one adapts to full size snooker. One just has to wait.

OK. So there are no aim lines. Your vision is focusing hard on the ball and the angle. Initially I had no idea of how much to cut. Straight shots are crazy hard. They go nowhere near. But after a while your estimations get closer and shots go in.

This is on a 27" screen without 3D. Not easy but gives you a good challenge. Very realistic experience. There are no 'scientific' ways to tutor the angle problem, although one trick that helped was to run your cue thru the object ball like a knife.  I had a vasectomy as well, come to think of it.
