At least in 2k21 the ball doesn't go through bricks, rocks, trees & other objects. like PG.
It does happen, not all their colliders work, i have seen it on a few courses.

Have you played all 480 courses? If you had you would discover that what you describe happens on less then 10% of the courses. Happens on zero percent if you keep the ball on the FW and greens.

"How can here be thousands playing 3C when at PG there is one tournament site and they can't get 75 players."
Not true.
If Links 2003 can still have a dedicated website, LSPN, with dedicated players then I see no reason PG can not be around a very long time also.80 Players.png

Wow
What are they drinking up in Nova Scotia these days
This "update" is not landing well with people who want bugs and issues addressed (hard to blame them - I'd be pissed too).
1000 points a pop? that's 4 levels of rewards!

It seems as if the TGC forum is as dead as this one.

Between HB barely communicating, nor fixing numerous outstanding game issues, and their moderation purging any and everyone who might say anything not rather pro-HB/TGC...no real surprise.
It’s sort of the recipe for “killing a community”
They’re a strange bunch these video golf game developers. They don’t take kindly to any sort of criticism.

One thing that I really dislike about PGATour2k21 is the way that the animation slows down to a crawl when you play short bunker splash shots. Apparently, it was done to help players time their bunker shots but I think it makes it more difficult.
I find using the flop shot from bunkers is much more intuitive and satisfying.
What has pleased me is that I’ve actually found a way to play the game that, for me, makes it almost on a par with PG. When I first started playing it, I didn’t think it could possibly be.
I’ve created two completely different and playable courses (Parkland and Links) without the need to trick them up, as I had to do with earlier versions of the game.
I recommend using:
Pro or Master difficulty with timing on.
Flop shots for short bunker and pitch shots. The animation seems to make it easier to time your shots.....for me anyway!
De-loft (both controller sticks up) when playing chip shots.
For anyone who’s not tried designing your own course, I recommend that you give it a go. I guarantee you will prefer your own courses to anyone else’s. It’s a simple job in PGA Tour and you can tinker with your course and see and play the result immediately. It’s very addictive.

Hey IanK,
What are the names of your two courses?

Hello MERACE,
They aren’t published yet. I never really intended to publish them but I will give them a polish and see if they are good enough.

I’ve just played a few rounds without using the splash and pitch canned shot options and I think the game is better, more challenging and enjoyable played this way. Also, I only open the club face on the wedges.

Please do. Thanks!

I will after a little more work.
I have to admit, my courses don’t have all the bells and whistles that some designers courses have. I prefer a more down to earth feel.

I will have to wait until it goes on sale on Steam as all my cyber golf friends have the Steam version. I didn't like TGC 2019 but only paid $20 CAD for it so won't buy 2K21 until it does go on sale.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the price drop on steam come Friday. Beings Amazon is offering it for that.
Heck if you don't like Amazon go to Best Buy. They are not showing it at the lower price at the moment but they guarantee price matching. All you would have to do is show them the ad from Amazon.

The only reason I could see is if you already had money in your steam account that you wanted to use.
