been playing online with 1 to 3 others yesterday & today and only have had one issue and that was probably due to a thunderstorm where he was. Online matches have played fine for us.

I have played online 3 times, all fine yes.  This is something different, this more about the way the game behaves when its accessing the need to be online to play stuff, replays and stats are cloud saved by the looks because they are not on my system,  i tried all day yesterday to access replays and failed, i did manage to play 18 with a friend though....its something different!

DoGgz that's one thing different between PG and this game as everything is on the cloud and not on our Hard Drive. I don't need to download a 300 MB course if I want to play it like I do at PG and with the size of these courses that's a plus. The flip side is all info stored online and when off-line I can't play user made courses or career. That is the main downfall but livable as after a while you end up with about 50 or so official courses to play offline just no career or stats when disconnected.

Well today I played a lot of the game and found some valuable lessons also. I played the 2K 2nd tournament at TPC San Antonio and finished two rounds 7 over and in 84th place. The leader was at 13 under so no really ridiculous scores and very enjoyable and a real learning experience on this swing. Played about four other rounds and my new motto is stay away from 100 percent as like PG after 100 percent is trouble and find that the swing at let's say 95% more accurate and less trouble but then again it's same in real golf. I also learned a lot about the chipping game playing so many rounds and you have think more and a lot of lifting and delofting required. I also love how in this version of the series when I play a practice round I have not only commentary but fans as if I am going to suffer others should be there to watch me. One last note with all my hours put in today there were no hicups and the game played and ran smoothly.

I've ditched the tempo thing. Stupid. What's the point?

 

I'm playing at Legend and the swing path is judgmental enough to give you an honest test.

 

I started a career at Pro (with aids) and Q'd after three attempts. But it got too easy so I went to Legend. One experimental Q (at harder course settings) without success. 

 

The thing is with just swing path you can still be wayward without stupid tempo catastrophes and you'll have to work for your birdies. If I start getting too successful I'll turn of the grid.

 

It's keeping me interested but only with Career mode. Society might work. Club Verisimilitude?

Something that's really disappointing has reared it's ugly head and i cannot un know it now i have seen it.... Playing a career mode event earlier i had one of the cut scene highlights, this one cuts to Justin Thomas holing out from a bunker to go -4 on the 15th hole, final round of two.  When that scene cuts away we see the leaderboard and Thomas is -12   Now even if this was a finished score he would have had to pick up 8 shots in 3 holes??  nah, me neither!   I will never view these highlights in the same light again, its canned bullshit that has no bearing on the event itself...Very disappointing!

I have it. Designer is great, but also buggy. A lot of the annoying little bugs from last time are still there in PC, like keystrokes stop working occasionally on menus and you have to click.
 

The new textures are a big improvement. I've been porting my old courses over and giving them updated texture sets; they already look 10 times better without any additional work. 3D grass is standard for rough.
 

All objects are global now, so you are not stuck with whatever the theme gives you. You need to be careful with it though as there is a new memory feature that will limit "non-theme" objects if you get carried away.
 

No new themes overall, no new clubhouses, and no variations on some things I would have liked like the mow patterns. It also would be nice to have a separate tee texture; you still have to use green or fairway.
 

I haven't played much yet, but being able to hit less than 100% shots is much easier now.
 

Overall it is definitely better than 2019. As always YMMV.

The cutaways are annoying. It seems that Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau are the only other golfers on the course as they are the only two that show on the cutaways. And they can hole out their chips every time.

I wasn’t aware you could turn off the tempo swing! That changes things somewhat!

I’ve ordered it On PS4 now anyway and should be playing it tomorrow. 
I still enjoy PG, mainly because of the excellent courses and designers but no longer feel any loyalty to the developers of PG because of how they’ve left us in the lurch, after promising so much! I’ve spoken my mind about their antics, have been banned twice for doing so and still can’t send PMs.

Good night is Master level hard or what. Played a round a little while ago in a Society that is set to Master and I shot 87 at TPC San Antonio and the other guys shot 85 and 92. Just brutal and for me straight Pro is where I am staying. TGCC Tours is using Master for their top four tours and people crying like crazy over there about it. Good thing it won't for 4 to 6 weeks as a lot of practice will be needed. Lol.
