So is this “the one”?
A mass exodus from PG to 2K21 forthcoming?
Buck we have been playing PG for like six years and to be honest thats a long time with no bells and whistles. No career mode and not crowds have killed IMO and look the number of people playing is way down no matter who wants to spin it otherwise. Lots have moved on and others are starting to and its apparent there is not going to be a PG 2 and we all know that so we have to go somewhere and PGA 2K21 is taking advantage of that. Always will love PG but tired of the same format and no customazation as my golfer looks the same now as he did when I started. I think there are about 5 or so of us that play controller or RTSM over there and thats anothe issue as the clickers are so good you cant compete and we both know there will never be another game with clicking so thats really whats left playing. Well off to the PGA Tour 2K21 game for a couple rounds.

Might be, Buck, I'm reading a lot of good things about 2K21. Would like to see some good screenshots, not just videos, of some user made courses.

I've taken the same route as you. A# number of exasperating issues though.
1. Often when I have hit the ball to the left, the shot tracer or whatever they call it shows my downswing going away to the right. I don't know how i'm supposed to make sense of that.
2. The "feel" from the controller doesn't give much away. It usually feels the same whether I hit the ball straight or to the left or right.
3. I can't see any where that tells me what the elevation is from me to the flag.
4. Around the green is awful. Despite what the shot length is shown as it's easy to be way short or way long. The situation is less of a problem when coming out of a greenside bunker.
5. However I hit a shot I get a slight draw 90% of the time which in itself isn't a big problem but I wish I knew how it was happening.

I agree but a ‘splash’ shot is played from a bunker, where your clubhead enters the sand a couple of inches behind the ball. If you played this type of shot from a fairway you would ‘duff’ it!
Allow the shot by all means but make sure the player duffs the ball when played from any lie apart from sand. That way it won’t be played again.
Having said that, I have seen players play a splash type shot where the ball is hung up in heavy rough, although you are in danger of sliding your clubhead under the ball.
I understand what you mean and I agree 100%. What I ment is a high lob shot from other surfaces. Of course fat shot isn't something that should be rewarded. It's just same kind of shot but still differrent.

The negatives are starting to show...
HB have always been known for their shit network issues, their games actually disconnect my fibre broadband for a min or two every now and then. Tried a live broadcast via youtube it disconnected twice so i gave up, no other game i have does this.
Also because of their constant network issues, replays and stats are not working, it just hangs then times out. Golfers live for stats so this is very poor.
PGA tour commentary is broken in places, quite often i have heard them say " that putt puts him top of the leaderboard"...umm i'm actually 5 shots off the lead.
The wind effect appears more severe than 2019, its quite unrealistic now.
tie for 1st..playoff? nope sorry...Grrr
I'm finding more annoyances the more i play This is not what you expect from a £50 game

From what I understand they were down from 8 to 9 am Eastern Time to add servers and might be doing it again shortly. They have apparently sold way more copies than expected and the servers were overwhelmed. I view this as a good thing.

I can't say as I have not seen those issues yet and I will keep an eye out for them. I know they said there are some bugs that will need patches tho.

The servers announcement was by them as they added them this morning and the fact they were overloaded tells you they had more than expected. It was running slower yesterday afternoon but pretty smooth for me this afternoon.

been playing online with 1 to 3 others yesterday & today and only have had one issue and that was probably due to a thunderstorm where he was. Online matches have played fine for us.
