This is a template I created a few years ago for easily adding mowing stripes to any texture; there is a 1024 size and a 2048 size.
Format is a .psd Photoshop document with layers containing stripes in four different directions of varying sizes; simply turn on and off the layers until you have the pattern you want. All of these are fully tested and will tile perfectly. I usually use somewhere between 3% and 7% transparency on my stripes.
I recommend saving a backup copy just in case you accidently overwrite the master, which WILL happen at some point
