I’m only pointing out that fantasy Elements are fantasy elements including environmental things…
A battleship on the course could simply be seen as a different type of obstacle… Hell at least the colliders on the battleship probably worked correctly as opposed to the trees in our game many times
Lol
Anyhow… Don’t mind me… Excited to see the courses people come up with

This reminds me - when a mining kingpin bought out an Australian championship course, he thought it'd be a good idea to add a dinosaur.
The course no longer hosts any championships.

Here is a course overview of the Orbs. You'll get to see all 9 holes and some brief thoughts on the course design aspects. I am strongly encouraging all the reality swingers to take a look. (yes, I've left that open for interpretation for you Neal)

Any gravitational pull you do with your Orb is your business.
Great work DP, Did I hear George Jetson yelling," Jane! Stop this crazy thing!!"?

Too much pot can be a bad thing or so they say. If you are going to use them I would suggest they are on the shallower side.
Why not just let the designers design the courses the way they want and submit them ? You've already said Trackman may tweak them for simulator play anyway?
Advising designers to shallow out pot bunkers to aid beginners is like asking designers to minimise the amount of water they have on their courses as beginners keep hitting it in the water.

I've been looking for an excuse to add one anyway. For awhile.
I think this whole real / fantasy debate has been good actually; it's encouraged me to take some chances.

Well, this IS different, NoPutt. What a firework of imagination! You and DPR make me suddenly feel narrow mindedly conventional with my parochial little fictionality... I just felt the thorny crown of radical Avantgarde tumble from my head, propelled into the dust beneath by my dejected frown.
Progress Report
1. Today, I tweaked the water (still sh*tty) and added the "Wispy Sky" skybox (free from Asset Store). Then I felt a bit annoyed and started messing around with rocks, adding some gravity-defying formations. I don't know why I did that, I zoned out for a short time...
2. Then I had a couple of bulkhead emergencies to fix. Not only some greens, but each and every tee area on the Rattler is produced with the bulkhead techique of lowering after mesh calculation. I almost managed to get all 58 bulkheads right at the first go, but had to move back in an redo a couple of them. Could have been worse.
3. And so, it's slowly starting to look. Need some desert plants and sound, then it's ready to go. I surprised myself while play-testing that I did not utterly hate most of it - usually a reliable sign that I moved into the K11-bracket of minimal acceptability. Meaning that it shouldn't totally stink or that if, it does, dementia has finally gotten hold of me, which is only a matter of time anyway.
4. The Rattler, or Western Diamondback Rattlesnake (or "Crotalus Atrox" - atrocious rattle) is the spirit animal assigned to this stretch of land by an old indigenous tribe of the pueblo culture. Like a rattler, this course snakes its sneaky way through rocks, lurks for prey near the waterholes, waits patiently for food and winds up its coils to ambush its victims.
But fret not, ye poor sim golfers (and others): The Rattler is actually a rather easy golf course. I did not go all punitive and mean on you. The greens are large (except a few that aren't) and from 9 to up 13 holes require a 9 iron or less (depending on pin positions). Only 1 to 3 of them are longer than 200 yds. The golf game side of this project is meant to provide pleasant multiplayer and closest-to-pin action for the whole family. In a deadly, scary environment, yes - but ever so gently.

@K11 - you always manage to effortlessly throw out the whole bag of tricks and a few new ones. "Effortless effort" Even getting those little peaks to look just right, not too many and likely bypassed by the smoothing tool. Then, the colossal number of bulkheads and the shrug of "I'm sorry this is hard for some of you."
Looks like it will be another great addition. It may dethrone Pommeroy as my family's most played track. I've heard that lack of Speedtrees and Unity vegetation is one of the first signs of dementia.
@Whoever (likely K11) - a bulkhead question/confirmation - I can never lock a green. If I do, the hole will not be cut out of the mesh in game. Secondly, if I lower the ground beneath an unlocked green but do not recalculate the spline, it will still lower to the terrain in game. I'm guessing this has to do with the hole cutting feature. Am I correct in this or going about it the wrong way? I have had to leave columns of terrain the shape of my greens in my suspended greens on the Orbs and mask with terrain paint or particle effects.

@DPR, thank you for accurately spotting my dementia symptoms - the treatment unfortunately induces retching and vomiting...
I never lock splines, so I wouldn't know if that is good or bad or useful or not. I avoid locking greens to shield them from terrain lowering harm, because that would lull me into a false sense of security and invite ever greater harm. Also, I seem to remember about this, far in the back of my head from a distant CF beta past, that before exporting a course file all locked shapes need to be unlocked anyway.
Careful with terrain lowering under a green, though! It seems greens are prone to sag down if there is no terrain underneath them. All my bulkhead greens are surrounded by strips of fairway and/or rough (all it takes is 2 or 3 meters). Make sure to carefully lower the terrain just a bit around the edge, but do not ever let that blue brush reach the border of the green.

Looks great K11! On the sounds, I've worked on them a lot on my course, and like to go to:
http://identify.what.../_/0/attrs.aspx
to find out what birds are native (and where they live). Then I found this site that has an extensive number of American birdcalls:
You probably have your own sites, but just in case.
