Ah!  OK.  So the sim folks which most benefit from this transaction are suddenly weighing in on the PC-only side and acting like we are crazy for being concerned?  LOL!  Makes good sense.

Ummm no, it doesn't unless you are one of the few people that own a TM launch monitor that use PG.  TM launch monitors are using TM Virtual Golf.  We have just as much concern if not MORE because we use NON TM launch monitors.  Its GOOD news for us that they keep the PC version.  Plus while we prefer to us sim as a controller, I will use a mouse to play occasionally and to test my course.  I would be bummed if it disappeared.

hell the sim players ought to just STFU in this thread has nothing to do with  them

looks to me like a contest to see who can kiss the butt the best, and suck up to TM and PP

what a hoot

A thread providing an update on the software I play 4-5 days a week has nothing to do with me?  The same software I spent hours trying to design my local course?  Sorry this is flawed logic.  Thread title is Quick Update, not quick update for PC users only.  If you think the thread is otherwise, I believe most forum etiquette would be to start your own thread about PC only future of PG vs derail a thread and suppress comments from those that in essence just use a different controller than you.  If I post in that thread, you would then be more than welcome as the op to tell me I am off topic and that I should start my own thread.

Am I worried about PG2 locking my use out?  Absolutely, I use a non-TM launch monitor, I am worried they won't support my preferred way to play PG2................

I can't wait to see what they have next and hope I don't get left behind by my "controller" of choice just like I hope the 3 click and controller crowd does not as well.  The more people using it the better!

I said I hope the PC guys and their preferred method of play stays but instead get dismissed because I am a sim guy.  Guess what?  We don't have PG2 to on sim, so we have the same anticipation and hopes you do for PG2.  Other than a career mode or 3d beards (yes thats really a TGC2019 feature) which offers no value to me, I bet our interests in a successful golf sim game are VERY CLOSE.

Guys WE ALL are in this together.  If there is no PC game, there is likely NO SIM game for NON TM users.  I can't imagine TM would develop PG2 for non TM sims and lock out PC guys, they would like just kill PG2 which is why I think Mike Jones's update matters.  It mean PG2 isn't dead and didn't become TM's virtual golf.  Tm guys have their TM Virtual Golf that USES the PG engine.  They don't get user designed courses from what I can tell and they can't play with us as PC players or Sim players.  How cool is it that I can play on my sim while someone else plays on their PC at the same time?  What other sim offers that? (NO TGC does not offer that).

Not sure where the SIM vs PC animosity is coming from but I can't see how it helps any of us, I have to believe both our fates are intertwined in the success of PG2.  Let's all sing kumbaya and support the game we love.

Lastly, this is my only handle on Perfect Parallel forums.

You can google stingreye and I am sure you will see a bunch of different forums I have been a member of and a youtube channel with a bunch of videos playing PG.

You left out the part with TM said they have no intentions on releasing JNPG2 on the PC.  Maybe I'm crazy but that statement coupled with very lackluster communication from PP tends to raise some eyebrows no?

Ahh, excuse me, but you left out the part where TM said "at the moment we have no plans on releasing JNPG2 on the PC".  Very different than what you say in the quote above.  Mebby, maybe you are crazy.   ;)

Wow, did I hear this correct that there are guys here that are pissed off at Sim Users for coming to this post? Last I heard this is not just your game, not just your forum. Yes Sim Users are getting lots of love these days for MOST GOLF GAMES on the PC these days even the old, OLD World Golf Challenge I played for years and years but really THAT is where the money is, again he says he pays $250 a year to play JNPG and you paid like what? How much did he pay for his equipment as well? I paid $300 for speedtree items on my course I never finished and released but you don't hear me bitching.

Wow..  Just wow!

As much as I am not a true fan of The Golf Club 2 with it's 7 inch heavy round DEFAULT, if Perfect Golf 2 never gets released i'm not going to cry because at least I will have something to play even though I am not crazy about those other Devs either. PP sold there game, it's now trackmans and this is a golf SIM company so if it ever comes out for the PC which it is programmed on a PC so why would you think it wouldn't at least be sold to the PC users? They make the majority of their money of sim users, they will make some from the PC users but since it is DEVELOPED on a PC making even a small amount of money from PC users is like extra money correct?

You guys sound like your ENTITLED to TMPG2, your entitled to nothing except JNPG. I do think JNPG is pretty darn good for the limitations they had to work with. It could have been better but unless you port to a console you won't make crap for money, hate to say it but it's true. This is not Microsoft Links anymore.

Why would they even be bothered with the pc version ? Theres only about 80-100  players playing PG 1, dont think if they release PG2  on pc there would be many more players , so might seem like a waste of time/income . Can understand that yeah

Again this game is being developed ON THE PC so even if most of the users are going to be sim based there is no reason not to release it since Trackman Sim Golf requires a PC (I Believe, not totally informed although the COMPLETE solution is only $50,000). Hell every golfer in the world has this lying around..

Money is money even if it's only a few thousand dollars.

I guess you're mistaking concurrent players with total players. We get several thousand players playing PG each week on different platforms which is pretty good for what is essentially a 3 year old game although it has been updated often over the years.

If you want to spend your time dissecting and over-analyzing what they said then be my guest.  When someone tells ME that they have NO PLANS for doing something I consider that to mean exactly that.  They have no PLANS to do it.  You can add "at the moment" or anything else you like at the end of that sentence but 99% of the people I know would take that to mean... unless something changes that we don't know about, it ain't happening.

I don't understand why Trackman and/or PP won't definitively clear this up.

Are there any plans to bring PG2 to market for non Sim PC users or not?

Or - is it just not known yet?

It just doesn't seem in anyones interest to have this level of ambiguity about it within the existing player and course designer customer base.

Because the next step here would be: WHEN IS IT COMING OUT? JUST GIVE US SOME INFO!

Just realize that we simply have too many adults here which act like little kids. No matter what Andrew or Mike are posting, it doesn't take longer than 1 hour and the 1st rumor is posted. Andrew stated that they are working on PG2. So there is absolutely NO REASON why I should think he is lying. And even if he is, I have a game already. Not as perfect as it could or should be, but it is much better than having no game at all.

Don't get me wrong, I also want as many infos as I can get, but it is not my business, it is not my game and I simply have to wait until these guys think that it is the right moment to give us an update. The Infos given by Andrew and Mike are enough for me as I trust them.

Agreed but I know nothing about porting it over to the consoles even though they essentially run hardware we have in our computers. I will not fault Andrew and Mike for not doing this as they didn't have all the time in the world nor all the money in the world. You also have people moaning about the game not coming out so that limits what you can do. If you have bugs or the PC users want this redid or that done to an update because it is not WHAT THEY WANT then they have no time to port anything over because they are having to cater to you.

When you are a very small team trying to get things done fast enough for your potential buyers is hard to do. They honestly do have a very good concept for a game, MICROSOFT LINKS WAS a great freakin game but 2d got old fast for me and this game reminds me of it slightly and that is probably what their intention was obviously with the mops and such. I am willing to give them time, we'd all love to hear more news but that is Devs. When you first are coming out with a game they will talk your heads off, updates and future releases and it's hard to get a word from them. But we players can be pretty critical on them, trust me I know this all to well because I did it my whole life.

What did TM officially say? As far as I know they said NOTHING! There was a message from a Social media guy and we don't have an idea where he got his info from.

FOR ME Andrew and Mike are the guys to ask. I'm sure TM is a bigger company and not everyone knows everything. So who could you ask if someone asks for PG2?

I think that's a point that is confusing.

TM isn't just a "bigger company" - from what we've gathered here, they now ARE the company.
We think - right?

I'm honestly still not clear on what the transaction was.
Did TM actually buy PP or is there just some type of complex and exclusive agreement, etc?

It's honestly never been officially detailed in a press release or the like, at least not to my knowledge.
Anyone ever see anything about any of this on the TM side?

I'm not saying they need to explain, but it certainly would lessen the ambiguity and help users better understand what to expect or not in the future.

A wonderful update to PP forums will be the lifetime ban of user names (buck and mebby). So called uncle and nephew.  I have not slammed anyone (really hard) for over a year.

I hope Admin takes measures to never allow either of you to ever post in thisi forum again. You'll comeback with new names but at least we won't see your pestilence for awhile.

Your posts speak for themselves Lee Ray.  Publicly calling for a lifetime ban of forum members simply because they disagree with many of your posts is about the most juvenile thing one could do.  But I'm not surprised by this in the least as your legend precedes you.

I see your point and understand where you're coming from.  But it's kinda like when you ask someone something but then get a completely different answer from their boss.  It makes you wonder.  And when the subordinate refuses to address the conflicting information it REALLY makes you wonder.

But this is all just really ridiculous anyway because it could be so easily resolved with just an ounce of simple planned communication.
