Typical flippant reply.  There are very little facts to go on because you guys refuse to comment and then when you do it's basically a non-comment.

As far as data points go - is it not pretty easy for you to see why folks would have some trouble connecting the dots between what TM has said versus what you and Andrew have said?  Unless you are here to clear the air it's probably best to continue not saying anything.  Just my $0.02.

They get crucified for saying nothing...... and now get told when they say something they should have stayed quiet......

F'#%^ if they do and F'#$^& if they don't is the lesson?

not sure which is funnier to watch...pc gamers that know damn well software companies do not pre-release much information...or golfers who have no idea at all how software development works....all complaining about the same thing.

lol, please carry on....this is awesome

I wanted to pop in to apologise about how quiet we have all been.  Its been a whirlwind 8 months and there has been so much to do.  While I really cannot divulge too much information let me provide you all with what I  can.

1) Our work on PG2 continues apace and we have been able to add a couple of people to the team.  PG2 will become the core of all our work with TM.

Beyond that until we have got further down the road (we are moving quicker now) it is hard for me to get into too much detail.  I hope you all understand that we cannot comment on too much.

It took the 4 of us (Ivan Mike Brian and I) a long time to get PG1 out and PG2 is not just a re release of PG1 with some added features it is a whole new engine built from the ground up so it is going to take us just as long (maybe a little less with some additional resources).   Our initial goal is to get PG2 to the same place as PG1 from a functionalily perspective before moving on to other areas.  So please no questions about Career Mode.

The Trackman Simulator was released a week or so ago so and we have been doing a lot more broadcast TV work.  You can check out our stuff during the Players both on the Golf Channel and NBC

But so you know that we are all alive, and continuing to work on PG2 I thought I should post a little message.

All the best... Andrew

Some interesting opions here. No basis in fact but interesting anyways. AJ has been testing PG2 with a controller so that's already implemented in code....

They haven't said anything, that just the point!
We received a few screenshots of PG2 months and months ago and nothing really since.

Just because you don't like the content of what they said....... doesn't mean they didn't say anything.

Maybe I am naive but I learned:

1) PG2 will be core in the work for TM.

2) PG2 is a rewrite not a re-release

3) Don't expect new features in first release, we need to get it to PG1's level first.

4) Career mode not a priority

5) They are alive and development of PG2 continues

6) PG2 is CURRENTLY being tested

7) Despite some people worrying about controller not being supported due to coding effort, the code already exists and is being tested.

So you may have already known all that but I did not and I appreciated the update.  But I might be too easy to please.  He could have simply said, we are alive and PG2 continues development, nothing new now and I would have been happy.

Am I worried about PG2 locking my use out?  Absolutely, I use a non-TM launch monitor, I am worried they won't support my preferred way to play PG2.  I am also one of those that thinks that PG1 is near perfect for my uses.  There are some odd bugs like green some not working properly, no best ball format (really miss this one for Ryder Cup type events), and some short game physics that aren't perfect (likely only a sim issue and not pc).  However, I own 3 golf sim software packages and PG gets it the best and closest to real golf.  I can't wait to see what they have next and hope I don't get left behind by my "controller" of choice just like I hope the 3 click and controller crowd does not as well.  The more people using it the better!

You must be related to Lee Ray?  Or maybe even the same guy...

But anyway - If you're happy with the communication then I'm happy for you.  I personally think it's been abysmal.

Are you sure we don't have best ball as a mop? - perhaps its called something else as AJ programmed it and hes been in the states too long!

You left out the part with TM said they have no intentions on releasing JNPG2 on the PC.  Maybe I'm crazy but that statement coupled with very lackluster communication from PP tends to raise some eyebrows no?

It's pretty interesting that all these "new members" with less than 10 posts suddenly have a lot of say about this topic!  LOL!  Sheesh guys.  If you've got an opinion that's fine.  But at least have the balls to say it under your normal forum name.

It would be fascinating to see from the administrator side how many forum regulars have multiple user accounts here.

I know I do not…
But there are some usernames posting things out of the blue that are awfully suspicious and sound like other people on the forum.

The current best ball format is not really best ball. Its more like 2 man combined score. Which is not like in ryder cup. Ive spoken with Andrew about it.

Ah!  OK.  So the sim folks which most benefit from this transaction are suddenly weighing in on the PC-only side and acting like we are crazy for being concerned?  LOL!  Makes good sense.

PC only side?  Actually, if you read closer, this is an 'all platforms' section.  Then, there is an additional section for simulator specific issues.

...so we are actually much more special then you think

Sadly no best ball yet.  It would be an awesome MOP too.

The greensome is REALLY close to working, its just the occasional alt shot part picks the wrong guy.  Still fun and we still play it alot when we want something that goes faster but don't want a pure alt shot match.  I think Andrew aluded in the other update that being ball driven vs whatever PG is now will make the greensome and other MOPs easier.  No idea what he meant as it was over my head, but exciting none the less.

Broadcast looked awesome at Augusta, it always fun to tell friends when it comes on the broadcast that its the same software driver Perfect Golf.
